I don't want to speak too soon but things seem to be getting a bit better. The lump on his head has gone down massively! He still doesn't look totally right, I'm not convinced he can see properly out of one eye, but he looks so much better. Continues to seem unphased. I've just prepared everybodies travel cages so we're pretty much ready to go. Just got to get through labour ward tomorrow.

I would class myself as a feminist midwife to be, with a slightly odd path to midwifery via religious studies. I think I have an open mind where women and their partner's choices are concerned with regard to midwifery, but I think the longer I do this course the stronger my personal opinions become about certain things. I think this is good, although I don't know what others think.
